The analysis of original sketches, projects, models, prototypes and objects shows how Archizoom became the interpreters of some of the fundamental issues of the international debate. The essay describes their history from the first experiences at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence, when some of the features of their later works take shape, from Megastructure to the utopian city, to a new type of design challenging the conventional academic precepts. What emerges from this book is the idea of an architecture and design full of colours and joy, funfair-like, "pop", as appeared at the Superarchitettura exhibition in 1966. The volume also outlines their later pursuit of different cultural and figurative horizons.
